Maling Udang J
Long time ago, in a small
village, near the beach in west sumatera, lived a woman and her son, Maling
Udang. Maling Udang’s father, Maling Ayam, has passed away when he was a baby,
and he had to live hard with his mother. Maling Udang was a healthy, diligent,
gorgeous, and strong child. He usually went to the traditional market to stole
prawn from prawn seller, or sold it in the town.
One day, When Maling Udang
stole a prawn as usual, he saw a merchant ship which was being raided by a
small band of pirates Maling Udang Said,
“Hey you, yes you, a fool pirates, you may not promiscuously raided his ship!” said
Maling Udang while point toward to the ship owner.
“What are you
talking about? Do you want to challenged me? wuahahaahha.” answered the pirates.
With his bravery and his
secret kungfu, Maling udang defeated the pirates. Maling Udang said,
“Hahaha, you’re
weak!”
The pirates Badly beaten
and ran scramped. The merchant was so happy and asked Maling Udang to sail with
him.
“Do you want to sail with me? I needed a person to be
my friend of my journey “
Maling Undang answer,
“Yes, of course!”
Maling Udang agreed
without said to his mother.
Many years later, Maling Udang
became a wealthy merchant, with a huge warehouse with prawn, many prawn thief
crew, and a beautiful wife, called Saharti. When Maling Udang walked alone in
this garden, Saharti called Maling Udang and asked him,
“My beloved husband, Maling Udang, Who’s your parent?.”
Saharti Asked. Maling Udang was shocked when Saharti said like that. Maling
Udang answered,
“Oh dear, I don’t have a parent. my parent was passed
away. “
“How nice if I can beregard in between their graveyard,
my beloved husband. Could you send me to your parent’s graveyard, dear?”
“Errr, ok.” Said Maling Udang.
Then, after that, Maling Udang went to west sumatera
and landed to the beach.
The village recognized him,
and the news ran fast in the town. “Malin Udang who’s was a prawn thief,
becames a rich man with a warehouse of prawn, now is here !”. His mother,
Sarimmi, in a deep sadness of loneliness after years, ran to the beach to met
her beloved son.
When the mother came, Maling Udang, in front of his
well wife, his crews and his own gariness denied to meeting that old poor dirty
woman. But, Saharti, his wife, feel recognized her. Then, she said,
“That’s my mother!! I knew her from my father. And then,
she has a son!’
Maling Udang was shocked.
Then, his mother said,
“Hah? I’m your mother? I almost had a daughter like you
long time ago, but, she’s picked up with her father. and, her father is my
husband that leaved me for a glory. What’s your father’s name?” Said Sarimmi.
Saharti answer,
“Maling Ayam. did you Sarimmi?”
“Oh no, she’s really my daughter. Yes, I’m Sarimmi.”
Said Sarimmi.
Maling Udang was confused
and said,
“You said that my father was passed away! you lie to
me! Why you do that?”
Sarimmi answer,
“I’m sorry my dear. I won’t you to knew the true that
your Dad is shit. I’m so sorry.” Sarimmi apologize to Maling Udang. Then,
Saharti said,
“So, Maling Udang, my beloved husband is my brother
too?! Oh no! I have love with him. I too late married with him.”
“You can love him as your brother, not as your husband,
right ?!” Sarimmi answered.
“I can stop love him, I really love him.” Said Saharti

“I love her too. You cannot stop our love, huh!” Maling
Udang said.
“Hey dude, you cannot love your sister!” Sarimmi said .
“You’re cannot stop our love, a poor ugly dirty woman!
I never had a mother like you!” said Maling Udang.
Engraged, she cursed Maling Udang and Saharti that
they’re would turn into prawn couple if he didn’t apologize. Maling Udang just
laughed and set the sail. In the quiet sea, suddenly a thunderstorm cam. His
huge ship was wrecked and it was too late for Maling Udang and Saharti to
apologize. He thrown by the wave out of his ship , fell on a small island, and
suddenly turned into a prawn couple.
